This evening kicked off our 100th  Anniversary Centennial Celebration! We were presented with gifts from Volunteer Hose Fire Company of Middletown, Clayton Volunteer Fire Company, and Townsend Volunteer Fire Company. Additionally the County Commissioners presented a proclamation and on behalf of Maryland State Firemen’s Association, Mr. Skip Carey presented a special recognition plaque. A big thank you for these special gifts.

The evening included a presentation by Vice President of the Maryland State Fireman’s Association, Mr. Skip Carey about the importance of volunteerism and traditions. Past Chief Jesse Downey, Sr. and Past Chief Gary Fellows presented about the fire company’s history. A big thank you to our County Commissioners Mr. John Price and Mr. Albert Nickerson, Town Council Members Wayne Starkey and Shelley Holland and our neighboring companies for celebrating this monumental time with us.

A Special Memorial Table honored Millington Members who have passed on before us.  Life Members are pictured below, as well as past chiefs and current chief, current members, past presidents and current president.  Historical memorabilia, photos, and equipment were displayed for all to enjoy.
